Where Can I Begin My ALMS class?

You can begin your ALMS class on Gyrus through the learner profile, which has an easy-to-use interface and quick setup options for training and reporting purposes. The dashboard for the learner begins with the Individual Development Plan where you can review what courses are available to you, along with any upcoming start dates present under the calendar icon and more details.

On the left-hand corner, in the drop-down box for the dashboard, under My learning's there are several modules exist like enrollments, training transcripts, gap analysis, assessments and evaluations. Course catalog is equivalent to a open library available for the learners enrolled in the program. You can submit requests for self-reported trainings.

Once you have selected a course and clicked "Start Training", you will be taken to a page where you can view a description of the course, including its prerequisites and estimated completion time.

Training types include: e-learning's, documents, external trainings, instructor-led format, assessments (standalone and in conjunction with training also) and learning paths (combination of different types of trainings), and webinars. You can also click on the Course Details for more detailed information, such as pricing etc. about your upcoming course.

How Can I Get Access To ALMS Army?

Gyrus will send you an email with a link to your class when you are officially enrolled in the course. Once you have gone through the enrollment process, you may log in to your account by clicking on the Log In link on the page.

If you do not remember your password, please click on Forgot Password and enter your email address. You will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password. After logging in, go to your Internal Development Plan (IDP) page to access your different training types.

All the training assigned through an organization or a job can be viewed on this dashboard. The interface is user-friendly, with clear call-to-actions with different categories listed. Every training has a different action button such as External link, launch, resume and so forth. Status of the training like 'In progress' or 'Completed' is available on the left-hand side of the site.

An Army SSD (Army Service School Director) is the new system used to manage training for all Army Soldiers. An Army SSD is a soldier's electronic personnel record (EPF).
