Learning Object
An individual nugget of learning is called a Learning Object. A well-designed learning object teaches the learner one competency and is independent of any other learning object. The competency that the learning object teaches the learner is designed for one skill. A course is typically the grouping of more than one learning object. A learning object can take many forms, for example, as an eLearning nugget or an agenda item in an instructor-led course. GyrusAim uses the learning object as the foundation for all competency training.
